For the welding process of processing stainless steel shaped tubes, argon arc welding is generally used to weld austenitic stainless steel shaped tubes. However, due to the effects of various accidental or inevitable factors, it is inevitable that some welding defects will occur, for example: when welding stainless steel grooves, surface pores and welding seams are not filled, and other bad conditions. For this reason, for the treatment of such situations, the stainless steel grooved tube manufacturer has made the following treatment methods and analysis, as follows:
1. Surface pores
Cause: The cause of surface porosity is generally caused by the use of non-conforming welding materials or the surface of the workpiece does not meet the requirements or the electrode angle is incorrect during operation or the construction environment does not meet the requirements.
Prevention: Use the correct welding consumables, clean the workpiece before welding, and select the proper welding angle.
Remedy: Use angle grinder or welder's chisel to clean the defects. If the surface of the weld does not meet the standard requirements after the defect is removed, repair welding must be performed again. The location of the pilot arc and the arc extinguishment must be considered when repair welding; after repair welding, the weld should be re-ground and cleaned to make it smooth.
Second, the weld is not filled
Cause: The reason why the weld is not filled is generally caused by the welder's lack of responsibility or the form of the workpiece groove.
Prevention: Choose a suitable workpiece groove.
Remedial measures: Repair welding must be performed again. Necessary cleaning should be carried out before repair welding, and the location of arc starting and arc extinguishing must be considered during repair welding; after repair welding, the weld should be re-ground and cleaned to make it smooth and smooth.
